David Draiman might be Jesus
I’m not the most politically correct guy around, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t brag about ‘fixing’ skinheads to the press, much less by including the n-word in the quote.
David Draiman did though, I guess that’s where we differ. He had an interview with ‘The Jerusalem Post‘ and guess what he talked about? Being Jewish and having to fight to defend his heritage.
“When we were playing Southside Chicago clubs, one of the guys who would come to see us was a skinhead, he had a swastika tattoo, the whole nine yards. After he became a die-hard fan, the band was sitting down having drinks after a show and he comes in and starts going on about **censored** and Jews, and I interrupted him and said, “Dude, I don’t know if you realize this but I’m Jewish.” He responded, “You’re Jewish! This completely changes my whole idea of what a Jew is supposed to be.” And soon after that, he had his swastika removed, and denounced the skinhead culture.“

Am I the only one who sees the subtle similarities to Jesus? Talking to ‘The Jerusalem Post‘ about sitting at a table and a disturbed (hehe) skinhead comes to Draiman and he offers one line and immediately heals the guy. I’m not one for religion, but HOLY SHIT…
Is Draiman HIM? Oh blessed be thy heart almighty Draiman. If only you could have met a certain Austrian bloke a few decades ago…
Disturbed use music as a weapon
Disturbed are going on tour, with Korn as co-headliners and Sevendust and In This Moment as pizza boys and warm-up acts. The tour is called “Music As A Weapon V.”
“Every year we try to up the ante, and this year, by having Korn co-headline, we really think it’s going to be our best tour yet. When the idea first came up, one of the main things both bands agreed upon and wanted to focus on was hitting a lot of smaller markets. It’s exciting to bring a show like this to cities that are usually skipped over on some of the other larger rock tours that only hit the major markets. We have a lot of loyal fans in these cities and we wanted to bring them a show that they deserve.“ said David Draiman.
For once I’d like some honesty in these statements. How about “Every year we try to up the ante, this year we just couldn’t so we brought in a nu-metal vibe with Korn, hoping nostalgia is bigger than the financial crisis.”
Anyway, first 1,000 tickets sold get a $5 discount. Does that mean they’re free? I’m kidding, I’m kidding… Oh ah ah ah ah.
Disturbed Animal
Do you live in North America? Do you like when people make dog noises and sell it as music? Are you an angsty teen? You’re in for a treat, because Disturbed‘s new video for the song “The Animal” is out. Watch it after the jump.
Ooh ah ah ah ah!!
Why do rock bands sometimes release trailers for music videos? Honestly, I don’t think anyone really anticipates a music video anymore.
Well, Disturbed clearly believe their fans do. They just released a trailer for the song, “The Animal”. I have no idea when the video will be out(and don’t care).

Disturbed will lose you the elections
Kentucky, the state that gave us KFC, Larry Flynt and George Clooney, also has quite the shady political race.
“Images of members of the bands Avenged Sevenfold, Disturbed and Stone Sour are inexplicably featured on a flyer that was released this week by a candidate for Campbell County Attorney in Kentucky.
[One side] features images of members of the above-mentioned bands taken from their publicity stills with the warning, ‘On November 2 tell Steve Franzen you don’t trust someone who makes a living defending criminals to serve as your County Attorney.’“

Haha, gotta give it to the guy, he sure is original. I wouldn’t want my ‘county attorney’ to have such taste in music.
