Anselmo is a busy man
Philip Anselmo’s 2050th band, Arson Anthem, just put up their whole debut album for streaming on MySpace. It’s called “Insecurity Notoriety” and you can check it out here.
In case you haven’t heard of this band, an interesting thing to note is that Phil’s actually on guitar, while Mike IX Williams of EYEHATEGOD fame is doing the unintelligible screaming singing.
The CD will be released October 12th. Track listing after the jump.
Also worth mentioning is that Down’s “Diary of a Mad Band” CD is available for streaming here. It’s only until Sunday, October 10th, so hurry up, yo.
Phil Anselmo interviews some footballer
Former Pantera, Superjoint Ritual, Christ Inversion, Southern Isolation, Viking Crown, Eibon and current Down and Arson Anthem member Phil Anselmo recently did an interview with New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey for Housecore TV.
If you know as much about American Football as me, which equals nothing at all, you’re probably going to be bored watching the interview. If you do know your American Football, you’re probably going to be bored anyhow because you can barely understand Anselmo’s babbling but if you’re already bored right now (which makes sense because you’re reading this website), watch the interview after the jump.
Down to release 'Diary of a mad band' DVD
Phil Anselmo‘s Down are going to release a 2 CD + DVD bundle on October 5th. The DVD will contain live performances, as well as a documentary about Down’s comeback after Anselmo’s silent time after Dimebag’s death.
To view a preview of the ‘Diary of a mad band’ DVD and a setlist of the set, read on after the jump.
In other news, the name ‘Diary of a bad band’ was already reserved for an upcoming Metallica DVD.
I know what you're thinking…
I know what you’re thinking right now… My life is complete, I have everything I want, except for a 3′ x 5′ Down flag!
Well, you’re in luck. Cause guess what, for a $45 pre-order on Down‘s upcoming CD/DVD release, you can get one. And they’ll also throw in a shirt, cause it’s not like they’re greedy or anything.
What’s their new release, you ask?
“Diary Of A Mad Band features a two-CD full concert recorded in London. The 130-minute DVD features footage documenting the 2006 return of Down from the practice room through the band’s first European tour, and a bonus behind-the-scenes featurette entitled Tyrades and Shananigans” — Release date: 5th of October, 2010
Get it here. More info after the jump.
