Fear Factory revealed the new album title! OMG!
Fear Factory have revealed the new album title. It’s called…
Wait for it…
The Industrialist
OMG!11!11!1 Let me guess, is it going to be… industrial?
I don’t actually care what the name is, if it’s anyway near the quality of Mechanize, I’ll be perfectly happy. Take into account that Burton C. Bell has continuously stated he feels the band could do better than Mechanize, and that the new lineup has probably become a bit more stable by now (even though stable is not really a word I’d throw around when it comes to Fear Factory), we’re in for a real treat. Yum! *that’s what the band said*
Fear Factory have an album name, but they won’t share it :(
Another one in the “barely eligible to pass as news” department, Burton C. Bell used Fear Factory‘s Twitter account to announce he’s got the album title name figured out, but he didn’t really want us to know:
I think I have the title in my head or the next record…. Should I share? BCB
Fuck yes you should share, but with me alone. Burton, if you’re reading this, send it to simo@doseofmetal.com, and I’ll send you a nude picture of myself, how about that?
In the meantime, let’s play a guessing game. What could the title for a new Fear Factory album be? I’m thinking:
- Demechanized
- Humachine
- Digideath
- Flip Flops (this one being the concept album about his relationship with other band members)
Van Halen II: The discussion
To say about Van Halen II that the title says it all, would be an understatement. But let’s break it down, anyway, in case a juggalo is reading this.
The ‘Van Halen’ in ‘Van Halen II’ means it’s an album by the band Van Halen. ‘II’ stands for ‘second,’ because it’s their sophomore effort. Mr. Wikipedia, at your service.
Leaving bad jokes and sarcasm aside, there’s a podcast out there called “Mars Attacks,” and they got a bunch of musicians together to talk about this album. What musicians? Well, people like Charlie Benante, Glen Drover and Gene Hoglan, and others…

New Arkaea coming
Remember Arkaea? The Fear Factor-ish side project by Raymond and Cristian with the guys from Threat Signal? Well, now it’s their main project (lulz), and ever since the whole “new” Fear Factory fiasco, they’ve kept kind of quiet, until recently when ThePRP dug out some info about a new album being planned.
I was never much of an Arkaea fan, but I’m pretty interested in hearing this, a) because they have a reason to be pissed and b) because they have a reason to prove themselves, now more so than ever. Let’s wait and see what comes out of it.
Megadeth headline Mexican festival
This Friday I made a Top 10 about my favorite live clips from YouTube, and Megadeth‘s Argentinian performance was there. If you watch that clip, you will realize that Latin America loves Megadeth, so maybe it makes sense for them to headline this Mexican festival called ‘Hell & Heaven – Metal Fest 2011.’
It will happen in Guadalajara, Mexico on November 19, and hey, maybe Megadeth can get a Mexican bassist too, just like Metallica!
I keed, I keed, you know I love borderline racist jokes.
Anyway, Fear Factory is also on the bill. Make the jump to see the poster! The official website can be found here.
