Weak Recap: Solo style
Hey, it’s another Sunday, and you know what that means, time for your favorite weekly interview. The one we do with each other.
Except, you’re not getting one.
Apparently, other people at Dose of Metal obviously have this thing called “life” and they’re too busy with their “girlfriends.” You know where that leaves me? Same place I was last week — alone in the room, wishing I had enough money to buy myself a plastic one.
I’m just kidding, blow up dolls are for pussies, real men pleasure themselves. And by that, I don’t mean I can reach my penis with my mouth. I just make the best use of my hands. Speaking of my hands and wonderful results, make the jump to read my solo recap.
This is what made Jaymz cry
As Simo wrote yesterday, Lou Reed apparently made both James and Kirk cry. Now, no surprise there when it comes to Kirk. But Jaymz? That’s something.
So here are the lyrics that made both Metallica guitarists soft (to say the least):
“Junior Dad”
Would you come to me If I was half drowning An arm above the last wave Would you come to me Would you pull me up Would the effort really hurt you Is it unfair to ask you To help pull me up The window broke the silence of the matches The smoke effortlessly floating I'm all choked up Pull me up Would you be my lord and savior Pull me up by the hair Now would you kiss me on my lips Burning fever burning on my forehead The brain that once was listening Now shoots out its tiresome message Won't you pull me up Scalding my dead father has the motor And he's driving towards An island of lost souls Sunny - a monkey then to monkey I will teach you meanness fear and blindness No social redeeming kindness Oh-or-state of grace Would you pull me up Would you drop the mental bullet Would you pull me by the arm up Would you still kiss my lips Hiccup: the dream is over Get the coffee: turn the lights on Say hello to junior dad The greatest disappointment Age withered him and changed him Into junior dad Psychic savagery
To be fair to them, they do have a pretty bad family background, so it does feel a bit mean picking on them for this. Then again, read the title of the page. This is DOSE OF METAL, if we’re not being mean, we’re simply not doing our jobs.
Can’t wait to hear the whole record, though. And by ‘can’t wait’ I mean ‘don’t want.’

How Lou Reed made Femmetallica cry
It’s more Metallica & Lou Reed shinfo time, guys. This time it’s kinda funny though, because we get to hear what makes Kirk and James cry like little girls.
Hammett tells Pulse of Radio: “I had just lost my father three or four weeks previously. I had to run out of the control room and I found myself standing in the kitchen, sobbing away.
James came into the kitchen in the same condition, sobbing too. It was insane. Lou managed to take out both guitar players in Metallica in one fell swoop with his amazing poetic lyrics.”
The lyrics in question are: “Say hello to Junior Dad, the greatest disappointment – age withered and changed him.”
I can’t really comment on the lyrics because I’m not in the same situation as those guys (James’ father left their family when he was 13). Still, I can kinda imagine the scene and it makes me chuckle a bit. I mean seriously, with the album title such as Lulu and stories like these, they might seriously consider changing their name to the one in the title. Oh well, I’m going to hell anyway, so I’m taking some of you with me.
More Loureedtallica info no one cares about
You know the score. Metallica and Lou Reed are making an album. They have a site, an album cover, a title, and a release date for it. Now, more good news if you don’t have a life: A few more track names have been revealed. GREAT!!!
These songs are:
Junior Dad
Little Dog
Mistress Dread
Pumping BloodRead full article here, yo.
My life is now complete, knowing of these song titles. What would I ever do without this inside information, huh?
Amazing.
Stay tuned for more useless news!
Metallica + Lou Reed = Lulu
Blabbermouth has more info on the Lou Reed/Metallica collaborations, and if you thought the project seemed pointless until now, wait till you hear this.
Apparently it’s called Lulu, which is inspired by some plays from a German expressionist writer. I’ll be honest, I didn’t read the whole thing because my interest in this is zero. But they have 10 songs together and as we told you earlier, it will be released on October 31 everywhere and a day later in the U.S.
I’m not gonna lie, I will check it out and probably review it, but Metallica and German plays seem like an odd couple. It’s probably more of a LOLLOL than a Lulu, am I right? High five! But yeah, I guess we’ll see soon enough.
In the meantime, I got my HD porn here to keep me busy, so wish me luck.
