Play guitar like Mustaine

If you ever wanted to be like Dave Mustaine, you’re in luck. A guitar tab book transcribing Megadave‘s “Endgame” album is out and you can buy it here.

Of course, learning to play guitar like Dave is not enough, so the book “How to be jealous of Metallica and use their name to promote your own releases” will be out soon, too.

The Big Four DVD

The Big Four,’ also known as ‘The big one which isn’t metal, and the three other small ones’ had a couple of third world concerts together this summer. One of them was broadcast all over the world, and is now being whored out on both DVD and Blu-Ray.

Universal Music will release “The Big Four: Live From Sofia, Bulgaria” DVD and Blu-ray containing footage of the June 22, 2010 Sonisphere cinecast […] featuring the “Big Four” of 1980s thrash metal — METALLICA, SLAYER, MEGADETH and ANTHRAX. The DVD hits the streets on October 15 in Northern Europe, October 18 in most of the rest of the world, October 19 in North America and the full shows from all four bands will be included in the two-disc set along with behind-the-scenes and interview footage.

A 3D animation of all the cheap shit this boxset will include, to make you pay more, after the jump.

There is no justice in the world

“Nintendo metal” band Linkin Park debuted their first album ever not to feature either anime or remixes.

While metal legends Megadeth barely sold 3,000 albums (granted, of a live cd) in the first week, these guys are likely to sell 260,000. If that’s no proof that there is no God, I don’t know what is.

The album, entitled “A Thousand Suns,” features about 30 interludes and 3 full-length tracks, so make sure to pick it up if you have the attention span of a housefly and can’t stand tracks longer than 40 seconds.

Megadeth is breaking all kinds of records

The numbers are in! Megadeth‘s “Rust In Peace Live” CD sold a massive 3,000 copies! Wow!

The album, capturing some legendary self-indulgent show,  debuted at number 161 on The BillBoard 200, which means at least there were 39 other albums who did worse so it’s not all bad news.

When asked for a comment, Dave Mustaine refused, citing being busy with unwrapping 2,000 CDs he just ordered from Amazon.
