Motorhead to hit newsstands in UK
British tabloid Sun got a hold of Lemmy‘s sextape, first pictures to be revealed in tomorrow’s edition! Just kidding… But can you imagine that? You probably wouldn’t be able to have a decent boner for an entire month. Anyway, if you are by any chance going to your favorite newsstand to check out your favorite dirty sex magazine on December 14th, and if you have spare £15, you can get Motörhead‘s new album “The Wörld is Yours” (yes, that’s an umlaut there), directly from the newsstand. Continue reading for details.
The Album is Yours
For a price. And not until December. So make sure you ask Santa nicely for it. What am I talking about? Well read on…
December the 13th, mark it in your diaries, because that’s the date Motörhead have set for their long-awaited new studio album, The World is Yours.
Well, they say “long-awaited”, but Motörhead’s last album, Motörizer, came out in 2008, the album before that came out in 2006, and the one before that in 2004, so quite how that qualifies as “long-awaited” is beyond me. Combine that with the fact the last album only sold 6,000 in the US in its first week, I really don’t think it’s that anticipated.
Sorry, just sayin’… Check out samples from the album after the jump.
Beer is Ace
Incase you need proof that beer is awesome (why the hell would you need proof?), Apparently Motorhead frontman and all round legend, Lemmy, has re-recorded the band’s classic “Ace Of Spades” song at half the tempo as a blues number so that it can be used in a beer commercial for Kronenbourg 1664. The new version of the track will air this Sunday in the U.K.
I’d watch it, but I’ll probably be drunk and passed out in a ditch that day. Read more here.
Lemmy is a big star
Well, not much else I can say so I’m just gonna paste this from Blabbermouth like the lazy bum that I am.
“Lemmy”, the long-awaited documentary examining the life and career of Motörhead frontman and rock icon Lemmy Kilmister, will receive its U.K. premiere at the London Film Festival in the headline 9:00 p.m. slot at NFT1 on October 23, followed by a theatrical run in selected cinemas throughout the U.K. from December 3rd 2010.
It will be released on DVD by Entertainment One on January 24, 2011. The film premiered in the U.S. in March 2010 during the South by Southwest at the historic Paramount Theatre in Austin.“
Umm, okay? Got that? Good… Great… Perfect… Majestic.
Homerhead
What do you get when you combine something old and something older: Mötörhëäd in the “Tree House of Horror” Simpsons Halloween special (edition number 131 by the way).
Since the last time anyone has looked forward to something Simpsons related was back when their season numbers were single digit, and the last time Motorhead were exciting was around the time Jesus had no pubes, we’re not sure why we’re posting this as news. Anyway, in the episode, Lemmy takes Homer to hell. Good, let him stay there. Read on to see how Lemmy looks when drawn badly.
