Muse are worried
When I read about Muse complaining about their high powered live shows, I immediately thought the band are on a quest to go green and lecture us about it along the way or something. I was wrong.
Rockers Muse worry about the effects their elaborate stage shows have on their health – they’re convinced their powerful lasers will one day blind them.
“We got some big white balloons, threw them into the audience and decided to focus the lasers on them. It was like a slow burn that gradually disintegrated them into nothing. We all thought, ‘What the hell will our corneas be like in 20 years?’” drummer Dominic Howard said. “We could end up like that amazing vocal group the Blind Boys of Alabama – getting around doing it really well but not seeing anything.”
I don’t know what their corneas might look like in 20 years, but “Suppermassive Black Hole” might get a new meaning.
Muse plan great gig in the sky
British rockers, Muse, have revealed plans for a great gig in the sky. Well, just replace “great” with shit, and “the sky” with space. Yes, you read that correctly, as if Muse couldn’t get any more pretentious, the band are planning a gig in outer space.
According to The Guardian, the trio have discussed approaching Richard Branson to see if they could do it on his spacecraft. The Guardian goes on to say that the band would be following in the footsteps of Korn, who plotted a gig in an airplane, and Fall Out Boy, who aimed to perform in Antarctica, claiming only one of them was successful.
Korn? Fall Out Boy? Muse? Lol.

All you Download festival go-ers will be happy to hear that a big announcement will be coming November 29th, which will include 2 of the 3 headliners being announced. Also, early bird tickets will be available from December 3rd.
Lots of rumors have been circulating regarding possible headliners, with the following names all being mentioned: System of a Down, Foo Fighters, Muse, Sound Garden, Bon Jovi and Van Halen. We can only hope and pray that most of those aren’t true.

MTV knows good music
The least anticipated music award ceremony of the year, the MTV European Music Awards (or MTV FAG for short) is getting closer and closer. And the nominations are in! Oh golly, my nipples are hard.
Fighting for the Best Rock award are Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To Mars, Kings Of Leon, Muse and Ozzy Osbourne. Wowza!
The early favorites seem to be Linkin Park, of course, because their latest techno album sold quite well. In all fairness to Ozzy though, he would win ‘Best Taxidermy’ in a heartbeat. Maybe next year.
