Mötley Crüe fans arrested

All 15 existing fans of Mötley Crüe, Poison and New York Dolls were arrested at a concert at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in New York, last night. Although at first it seemed the fans were arrested for having shit taste in music, it has since transpired that the majority were arrested for underage drinking. The rest are either for things like urinating in public, or minor assault charges.

Nikki doesn’t really like Bret

I don’t know what the problem is between these two, but one of them could use less letters in his name. The other one could probably use an extra T in his first name.

Anyway, Nikki Sixx seems to have no problems talking shit about Bret and his band. In fact, the only problem he seems to have is he can’t stop talking shit about Bret. Look:

We didn’t want the tour, because of the reasons not personally, but because of keeping things segregated and then when he went and took it into his own hands that it was like his idea — yeah. He was the one on the phone that told me he wanted to do it because his band needs credibility and Mötley Crüe is a credible band — it pissed us off, because we were sucker-punched.

Oh yeah dude, Mötley Crüe is such a credible band… There’s so much credibility in that group that all bands should tour with them.

Look, I’m not taking sides, mainly because I hate both Mötley and Poison. But Bret always struck me as a very nice guy. I’ve even watched him on Celebrity Apprentice. He was nice, laid back, and professional. Since Nikki is doing all the shit-talking, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say Nikki iss thhe prrobblemm.

Alex advice: Shut up, play your music, do the tour, stop creating all this drama.

Mötley Crüe blames Poison tour on fans

Instead of keeping his mouth shut and just focusing on being positive, Nikki Sixx keeps stirring the pot about the Poison tour:

When the concept to do something this summer came up, the economy is in such a bad state that we were going, ‘How can we do something that is different and the fans feel like they’re getting a bang for their buck?’ We loved the idea of the New York Dolls, so it was a matter of filling in the blank. Fans were really pushing for Poison, and we were like, [they] were something that happened after us [in the ’80s]. It wasn’t really what I or the band wanted to do, but you have to listen to the fans and we’re really engaged with the fans. I talked to Bret [Michaels] and said, do you still believe in rock ‘n’ roll? And he said, ‘I live and breathe it.’ It will be a great night of hits.

Let me translate: Mötley Crüe didn’t want to tour with Poison, but times are tough and they need to sell tickets, so fans wanted Poison and they had to cater to them and the financial prospects. But now that it’s happening, they will just blame it on the fans instead of taking full credit for their business decision.

Why don’t musicians just shut up and focus on the music? If fans wanted Poison, simply stop talking about it and do your thing.

Bret Michaels ain’t holdin’ no grudges, yo

Poison and Mötley Crüe never really got along, because you know, girls fight. They probably used different mascara brands and had an argument over it. You never know with chicks.

But Bret Michaels is being the bigger woman here and saying that he has nothing against the other Spice Girls. He didn’t really call them that, that’s all me, cause I’m trying to stir the pot further.

I want to make it very clear. I’m not a grudge guy, ever. They have said a lot of negative stuff about Poison. Vince (Neil) has toured with me and we’ve ridden motorcycles together. Nikki (Sixx) and Tommy (Lee) have said a lot of negative things about a lot of people, and I was one of them.  […] I don’t know what the rhyme or reason is, I like some of their music. Fans want the tour. I think it could be a great tour for fans if we could just put our feelings aside. I think we can have a great time

Bret has a point. I mean, all they need to do is take a look at The Big Four and how successful they’ve been these past two years and they could all meet and put their grudges aside. Maybe exchange Chanel gift cards, too.

Hey, get Bon Jovi and do a Big Faux tour.

Cover your ears, close your eyes

How I looked when I heard that there might be new music by Poison

…It’s headlines time!

Bret Michaels said that one day, Poison might make new music again. What does this mean? When will it happen? Should I be wearing ear plugs at all times, or just when I’m near a radio? This is the music equivalent of walking through a minefield.

Suicide Silence have revealed the title for their upcoming album. It will be called The Black Crown and is expected to feature 2343 breakdowns.

People behind the Grammy Awards have decided to trim down categories. There used to be Best Metal Performance and Best Hard Rock Performance categories, but now we’ll only have… Best Metal/Hard Rock Performance. Genius.

3 Inches of Blood have a new song out, while Five Finger Death Punch have an old member out… Out of the band apparently. Does that make them Four Finger Death Punch now? I’m just kidding, like I know how many people play in that band.

And last but not least, Dose of Metal got more awesome.
