Architects announce UK headline tour
If you happen to be stuck in the UK this April, a few things might help you make it an interesting experience:
- beer (not UK related, helps everywhere)
- nunchucks (in case a riot occurs so you can be safe)
- seeing Architects live
The band has posted the dates for their April tour on their Facebook, the lineup also featuring Rolo Tomassi and Stray from the Path. If I weren’t too lazy, I’d type the dates myself, but I am… And I feel like I’m doing the band a favor as it is. You can see a photo with the dates after the jump though. Ain’t I nice?
Review: Rolo Tomassi – Eternal Youth
This month, in celebration of the start of their own record label, insane noisecore crew Rolo Tomassi have released a special two-disc anthology of rare and unreleased material spanning their six year career, Eternal Youth. In case you didn’t know, the band released their second studio album last year, and I rather liked it.
B-side and remix albums are always a tricky one, because often they’re full of filler material that was left of studio albums for a reason, whilst other times the material at hand is too different from what fans come to expect from the band, that the fans take a dislike to it. But more often than not, they only appeal to the most hardcore of hardcore fans and no one else.
So what do I make of Eternal Youth? Make the jump to find out.
Free Rolo Tomassi gig
UK noisecore crew, Rolo Tomassi, will be playing a free show at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom on December 19th. In addition, the show will also be filmed for a forthcoming DVD from the band in 2011.

Review: Rolo Tomassi – Cosmology
For fans of: The Dillinger Escape Plan / Mogwai / HORSE the Band / Iwrestledabearonce
Rolo Tomassi are a genuine forward thinking, euphoric and ambitious band always pushing the very boundaries of the Metal and Hardcore genres. Unlike a certain Nu-Metal band that like to produce synth pop albums and then call it “experimental” (I’ve heard it’s all the rage now), Rolo know how to create a true work of art. After witnessing an absolutely phenomenal set from this noisecore crew at this year’s Download festival, and loving their first album Hysterics, I was compelled to check out their latest offering, Cosmology.
Diplo produced Cosmology is the band’s second album, released in May this year after suffering delays. The wait was worth it though, and with Cosmology, Rolo Tomassi present a much greater and more rounded proposition than their debut. If you thought Hysterics was good, you are going to love this.
Without further ado, I present to you my review of Rolo Tomassi’s latest offering.
