Hear the new Unearth album now
What is this? The new fucking trend? Obviously I’m way out of the loop being an old man, but it seems another new Metal album is available for streaming today. This time it’s Unearth‘s new album Darkness In The Light. To be honest I wasn’t even aware they were working on a new album, which is kind of funny since, knowing me, I probably reported on it a while back and just forgot about it.
Anyways, the album can be streamed in its entirety at AltPress.com.
Job for a Cowboy and Unearth reveal artworks
Job for a Cowboy (pictured on top) and Unearth (pictured beneath) both revealed the artworks of their upcoming releases.
We posted about the first song off Job for a Cowboy’s upcoming EP Gloom just yesterday. Gloom will be released on June 7th.
Unearth’s fifth album Darkness In The Light will be released on July 4th (hey, that’s my birthday!). The album was produced by Killswitch Engage’s Adam D.
Check out both artworks after the jump.
Friday headlines and shit…
Floridian Metallica cover band metal band Trivium (pictured above) finished recording their new album. Where do you think they recorded it? Florida, duh. There’s some footage of Matt Heafy recording vocals, so if you want to see it, make the jump off a bridge.
Unearth, the band whose name sounds like something Al Gore would preach about, are also recording an album. It’s called ‘Darkness In The Light‘ and it’s coming out this summer. I wish all bands would name their albums with an oxymoron. Can you imagine Slayer? ‘Kerry King Slim.’
Another band that starts with the prefix ‘un-,’ Unexpect, is releasing an album. It’s called ‘Fables Of The Sleepless Empire‘ and it sounds like something Peter Jackson would direct. Track listing and artwork here.
Geddy Lee of Rush is also preaching about a new album. Gee, is he gonna use new album pep clichés like ‘heavier’ and ‘diverse’? You betcha.
There is pro footage of Accept performing ‘Neon Nights’ at Hammerfest and boy, I sure ain’t excited about it. In fact, who are these guys? Make the jump for the video if you’ve ever heard of them.
Speaking of bands you’ve never heard of, Communic also have a new album out called ‘The Bottom Deep.’ I could tell you when it’s coming out and what the tracks are, but I’m not gonna. 8==D
Dave is gonna be busy this summer
After news broke that The Big Four would only do one U.S. show, many gullible hopeful fans were expecting more dates to be added. Well, maybe this news will make them reconsider, as Dave and co. will be busy this summer with their own tour.
“Disturbed and Godsmack are rumored to be topping the bill on this summer’s Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival tour, which is expected to kick off sometime in July. Also scheduled to appear are Megadeth, Machine Head, In Flames, Suicide Silence and Unearth, among others.“ writes Blabbermouth. Full details tomorrow, January 26th.

Tough luck, guys. Seems like Megadeth is busy touring with Disturbed and Godsmack… Who cares about Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax, right? Maybe you get lucky and Sully Erna performs some of his amazing solo stuff, too. Fingers crossed!
Unearth make a surprise move
Shock horror! Another Metalcore band have chosen to work with Adam Dutkiewicz for their forthcoming album. I never saw that coming. In other news; cows go moo, and water is wet.
The hardcore inspired Metallers, Unearth, released the following statement via their Twitter account:
We’ve chosen to work with Adam Dutkiewicz on the new album for pre-pro, tracking and mix. Pre-Pro started last week. Stay tuned for updates!
